travel photo album: edinburgh
Edinburgh (pronounced Eh-din-brrrrruh, obviously) was absolutely brim-full with charm. The Royal Mile, which runs from Holyrood Castle to Edinburgh Castle is lined with the expected tourist trap shops. But ducking into the alley ways (closes), we found a wealth of unusual treasures.
Edinburgh Castle was good for two or so hours of wandering, and our time was well spent at the Writer’s Museum, the cemetery at Cannongate Kirk, and Arthur’s seat - a hell of a climb but more importantly, a hell of a view. It’s positively breath-taking. See for yourself.
Pictobrowser doesn’t seem to be working for me right now, so here are a few Thumbnails. Or, if you want, check out the whole set on flickr.

I love your pictures and admire your photgraphy skills. What type of camera are you using??
Hi, Heather. What camera are you using? Your compostions are very interesting, the colors are vibrant, and the macro shots are especially nice. Good work!
Love the photos! Keep ‘em coming.
It’s a Pentax Optio M10. It’s just a point-and-shoot. I tend to rely on the Pet mode and Food mode for all my pics.
I’m so jealous! Pics are awesome!
Funny little story - now that you’ve probably left that town
Rare footage of an adult otter fishing for food has been shot in an Edinburgh city centre river.
