hostel review: the bus station backpacker’s hostel
Perfect. Just absolutely perfect.
The hostel is small (I only ever saw five other guests) and manned by Daniel, a friendly, dry-witted guy with the skinny on the neighborhood’s best food. He sent us to The Basement, a local joint, where the fish was out of this world and the fresh veggies were a god-send.
Hot showers, feel-right-at-home common room and oh! free wifi! All the time! Walkable distance to the Royal Mile, and just about everything else, the hostel was our best choice so far. It wasn’t as sterile and tidy as Ashlee House, but that may have been why it felt so comfy. I’d recommend it to anyone - without hesitation.
